A food recall April 2026 update has been issued for meat and poultry products that may contain dairy ingredients linked to possible Salmonella contamination. The alert was updated on May 1 to include additional affected products.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), these products may include ingredients made with dry milk powder that has been recalled. As the investigation continues, additional affected products may be identified.

Consumers are advised not to consume these products. Items should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) may cause symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 6 hours to 6 days after exposure. Most people recover without treatment, but older adults, infants, and individuals with weakened immune systems may be at higher risk for severe illness.
